The Scarlet Macaw can be found in forest areas and lowland tropical rain forests from South Central Mexico to Bolivia and Central Brazil. In the wild, they eat plan fruits, figs, berries and nuts. During the breeding season they also munch on insects and their larvae.

The Blue And Yellow Macaw can be found in the forests and woodlands of tropical South America from Trinidad and Venezuela south to Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay. They eat seeds, nuts, and fruits. They mate for life.

All 18 species of macaws are threatened. They are one of the largest birds in the New World. Some of the macaw live to be 80 years old . They are be tamed and trained to imitate the human voice.
